I have heard that smaller charities are better to give to because you have less of a tendency to be lining the pockets of the people running the charities. Not sure how true that is, but I remember a lot of uproar about the charity money for Haiti in 2010 being taken by the powers that be. What I crib about is not knowing exactly where the donation goes to? Is it a large corporation, or people on the ground working for crap money to keep things going? Such as cancer respite workers???
